Apple has introduced a new app called Apple Invites, tailored for creating, sharing, and managing event invitations on the iPhone. This innovative app, also accessible through a web interface, is now available for download from the App Store.
Apple Invites empowers users to craft invitations using their personal photos or a range of preset backgrounds. The app offers convenient features like incorporating Maps for directions and weather updates for the event day forecast. Hosts can effortlessly handle RSVPs, modify invitation particulars, and share invites through a simple link. Interestingly, while crafting invitations mandates an iCloud+ subscription, anyone can RSVP without an Apple account or device.
Furthermore, apart from its invitation functionalities, the app boasts collaborative capabilities. Users can contribute images and videos to a Shared Album designated for each event. Apple Music subscribers have the option to curate collaborative playlists that guests can directly access via the app.
Apple has emphasized the presence of built-in creative tools within the app to enhance the invitation creation process. The ‘image playground’ feature allows users to generate unique images based on concepts and existing photos. Integrated Writing Tools lend a hand in composing the invitation text.
For utilizing and creating events on Apple Invites, an iCloud Subscription is a prerequisite. The service is available from AED 3.99 per month for 50GB, AED 11.99 per month for 200GB, and AED 39.99 per month for 2TB.
