ONGC, the State-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ltd, has initiated the process to hire a push-pull tug with a 70-tonne bollard pull capacity for a three-year term. The company has specified that the tugs involved in the tender must not exceed 21 years of age, and the bidding process is exclusively open to Indian entities.
The deadline for the submission of bid documents is set for August 29, providing interested parties with a window to meet the requirements outlined by ONGC. The ship owner, or contractor, is mandated to adhere strictly to the guidelines set by the Directorate General of Shipping, ensuring the vessel’s operation is in compliance with the rules governing crew competency.
